Swaen's Idea

My name is Zwaan Mulder, born in 1950 and a nurse for over 40 years. In 1993 I decided to specialize in assisting children and adults with incontinence. In 2003 I initiated a treatment and information centre for various forms of incontinence which was opened in the wing of a Dutch hospital.

30% of all women from the age of 30 suffer from some form of urinary incontinence. Although someone with light incontinence is therefore no exception, it can be very incapacitating and confidence inhibiting. Out of uncertainty and precaution many women wear a panty liner or napkin all the time. Along with my daughter in law Janneke, I sought an attractive alternative which has led to the development of Swaen's bamboo briefs and shorts with an integrated washable gusset.

Swaen's incontinence panties also offer a solution during light menstrual days, stressincontinence, the transition period after childbirth, excessive discharge or as an extra precaution when using a tampon.
